The business known as Trimlite commenced operation as Coffs Harbour Fencing in the early 1970’s. The name changed from Trimline Aluminium to Trimlite in March 2006 and has now been Trademarked.

In the early days, the business focused on the manufacture of timber, steel and aluminium fencing. Over the years timber and steel were phased out as aluminium was more durable and required less maintenance. It is also lightweight and easy to work with.

Trimlite then expanded into the supply and installation of aluminium balustrades to residential customers.

In March 1995, the Pilon family purchased the business. At that time the product range was restricted to Aluminium balustrades and pool fencing. From the time they took over, the Pilon’s have grown the business through a combination of a strong commitment to outstanding customer service, a move towards low maintenance products and an increased product range.

Today the business has grown from the initial focus of a fencing/balustrade company to encompass a wider range of markets:

1. Supply and installation of quality aluminium balustrades to home owners, home builders, developers and commercial and remedial builders.
2. TrimFence aluminium fencing including Garden, Slat & Pool and fencing.
3. In the late 1990’s the business began manufacturing aluminium seating and park table settings. To date, they have supplied seating to the Public Works Department, schools, councils, and the Equestrian Centre for the 2000 Olympics.
4. TrimSlat products consisting of slat fencing, privacy screens, gates & doors aimed at the home improvement market.
5. TrimLouvre louvre range offering privacy screens, sun screens, sunhoods, sliding screens, aimed at the commercial market and with some application for architectural homes.
6. TrimWood – a new timber look aluminium range of products. Range consists of privacy screens, fencing, gates, Privacy Screens, handrails
7. Individual franchises to service a wider region.

As is evident here Trimlite have invested a lot of time and money in order to grow their business and secure it for the future.
